86º and no rain. It looks like another beautiful week just like last week. We are full and it should be an interesting week. Lots of space type people around with 2 launches scheduled for this week. Saturday is the Shuttle launch and June 5th there is a rocket launch. Launches always add to the fun.
I need a favor of all our Beach Island Resort friends. It would really help if you would add a link to Beach Island to your email signature Http://www.BeachIslandResort.Com . If you have a web page you use or do not use please put a story of your families experiences here and lots of photos. Also make a blog. April 29,2008 Hello friends and family of Beach Island Resort. It is really quiet here after spring break and before summer. Why I do not know. In the entire year you will not get better conditions. Very warm weather, not to hot and no rain. High tan index. What more could you want. < Grin > oh nice waves good surfing. I haven't checked on the fishing down on the beach lately, sorry. Visiting from outside of the continental USA I have 1 family in this week from Australia and had 2 from Porto Rico.
April 1, 2008: Beautiful weather. Just what the tourist ordered. It is a sunny 84º. I know most like it in the 90º's but this is perfect for me. We have lots of people from New England States here this week and several units rented from folks from Michigan. Just leaving this morning a family from Chili, I think my first from that country. They were very charming couple. Later in the week we have a wedding party coming in. Spring break this year has been very different with Easter being so early in week 12. It seems like one week you are jam packed and the next half full. Normally it is just plain full. More and more people are bringing there laptops and computers with them on vacation. We now have all the rooms wired with internet. Of course we still have the wireless also. We have a large antenna for it and it picks up good even down on the beach. I will be making some special deals for 4 to 8 week stays in October, November, December. Call me for information. March 10, 2008. It has been such a pleasant month. The Petersons of Washington, The Fiedlers of Michigan, & Mr. & Mrs. Davis of Illinois. The Oakes of Connecticut, The Elliotts of Canada, The Howe's of Canada, The Mahoney's of Indiana The Isaaks of Colorado, The Bowens of Canada & The Melansons, Gloria Brown and The Hutchinson's, The Humeniuks, Just arriving this week The Browns of Pennsylvania, The Sutherlands of Canada & their Daughter and son in law The Oliver's with their baby also of Canada & The Bainbridge's of Canada. This is just a few of the visitors that blessed this resort.
We have a middle of the night Space Shuttle launch this week, 2:28 A.M. tomorrow morning <March 11, 2008>. There is a lot of excitement around here for it.
February 14, 2008. Happy Valentine Day. It is that time again, Daytona 500 then all of the Spring Breaks. Cold up north hot down here. The waves have been high for the surfers. The fishermen have really had to work. All of the retired people seem to fellowship more this time of year. That makes these weeks very pleasant for Fran and I. Unit 117 Abner Oakes, had his 74th birthday last night and a lot of the Beach Island guests showed up for cake and ice cream. I blew my diet but don't tell any one ok (grin). The winter was slow. I guess everyone's credit cards were full. We are getting filled up for the rest of February, March and April. If you're coming you better call. The end of April still looks slow and would be a very good time to come to Beach Island and the first 2 weeks of May. Call me 321-784-5720.

January 19, 2008 Another pretty day,79º and sunny. Everyone is enjoying themselves. I miss the Christmas lights here at the resort. Please be sure to look at them from the link below from December 17, 2007. I am still trying to get some of the photos taken during the holiday season online. I had a hard drive crash on my main computer and just now getting everything off of it recovered. If anyone has photos of themselves they took here at Beach Island, would you mind sending me a copy by email. I am thinking of making a photo page. The waves seem to be keeping the surfers busy. They sure seem larger than I'm remembering seeing. I will try to get back and renew this post. I look forward to emails from my friends visiting this page. Email me at gwh@area-guide.com .
